Any e-mail addressed to your e-mail account should be regarded as a scam. No organisation will send e-mails like this to their customers, it is extremely unprofessional and actually dumb.
For what? By Whom?
Do you really think American Express will send you an e-mail and spell Card membership as one word?
So the scammers can also give some good advice? This is exactly what you should do when in doubt, do not click on any links and contact your bank directly (And PLEASE do not use any contact information provided in the suspicious e-mail).
If this e-mail came through your anti-spam defences and you accidentally click on the link and contracted a malware infection, you might want to consider a better spam filter like MailWasher Pro and an award winning anti-virus package like avast! Pro Anti-Virus.
