Perhaps one of the worst phishing scams we've seen so far. It is not addressed to anyone specific, it doesn't even contain the common, generic "Dear sir/madam" greeting.

Bellow? A phishing scam with a loud deep roar! Just when you think you've seen it all, a phishing scam like this comes along.

Many sources on the Internet state that CraigsList will prevent you from doing this in the first place, so how can they block you for something that is impossible to do on their site? Experienced CraigsList users should notice this technically, incorrect statement, immediately. So what on earth was this scammer thinking. Wait a minute... The scammer did not think at all, that's the problem.

This example illustrates a very important rule in e-mail safety and security. Scrutenise the contents of the e-mail before acting on any instructions provided in the e-mail. An e-mail that contains innacurate statements, incorrect facts, confusing or missing information, should be treated as suspicious and untrustworthy. Follow up with the orginasation directly to confirm the validity of the e-mail and please, never use any contact information from the e-mail itself. Obtain the contact information from a trustworthy source.
