We thought the e-mail came from the BBB, so what does leadernewspapers.com have to do with BBB Warning E-mails? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! The From e-mail address is spoofed, it is fake. You don't need a rocket scientist to tell you that the e-mail is fake, just look at the From address and you will have your answer, without even looking at the content of the e-mail.
Is it just us or does the grammar of this sentence sound a bit off? So the phishing scammers want to accuse their victims of 419 scamming. That's pretty lame! What's next? 419 scammers accusing you of sending malware spam?
Yeah right! As if the BBB is going to send you an important message like this, via the most unreliable way of communication and only give you 7 days to respond? It is pretty obvious that the BBB did not send this e-mail.
Don't be fooled, don't click the link and don't use ANY information from these e-mails, other variants might even contain fake telephone numbers and physical addresses, so rather contact the BBB (www.bbb.org) directly if you have any doubts.
